Western Australian FlagMokeFest 2013 is being held in Perth, Western Australia, between September 26th to the 29th of September in 2013 with four or more days of things to do in your Moke with plenty of other Moke Owners. It is a three week or more adventure for a growing number of Moke owners and families planning to make the trek across from the eastern states.

Through out these pages you will be able to find out about the various activities and drives planned for in and around Perth as well as information for those making the journey to the west. The 29th of September is also International Moke Day so it will be a good chance for local Mokes of Perth to get a good turn out for the day and maybe take the Mug for the most Mokes for IMD away from the French.

The idea for holding a Moke event like this in Western Australia has been me with since the original National Moke Muster in Victoria in 2006 and I hope people will appreciate the efforts and distances travelled by the groups lead by Bridget H. that have come across from Western Australia to attend the National Moke Musters in 2006 and 2011. Perhaps our bringing MokeFest to Perth will encourage more to Mokes to come to future events in the east like at MokeFest 2015 in Tasmania in a couple of years time.

For the four days of MokeFest in Perth we will have various day and half day trips for people to be a part of with plenty to see and time to enjoy just having a chat with other Moke owners you probably have never met before and of course check out each others Mokes. In the evenings I expect to have some informal meal arrangement and provide the opportunity for people to mingle and be sociable and maybe the odd night drive to something interesting.

At the time of writing the Moke tourists, or Mokerists, will be arriving in the regional town of Kellerberrin, a few hours west of Perth, on Saturday afternoon of the 21st for a casual BBQ with a local Moking legend and then having a rest day on Sunday before heading off for a few more days of touring around the south west. If any local Moke owners, and I mean any Moke owners in WA when I say local, would like to join us on the Saturday and or travel around the south west region with us then you are more than welcome.

I am organising the event from Melbourne with some assistance from several WA moke owners and still I am always looking for any suggestions or feedback that can help us make this a great Moke event for everyone.

To find out more about this event browse the website and subscribe to the MokeFest 2013 Newsletter to keep up to date with progress.

Looking forward to catching up with our Moke friends owners in Western Australia.
