The meeting point in Port Augusta from that we will all assemble and depart from at 9am on Tuesday morning the 17th to head across to Perth has been decided upon. Regardless of where people are staying, if they are still driving all night to get to Port Augusta or whatever, we have a point where we will all assemble get the last minute fuel and supplies and then depart for the west as a group.
The meeting point will be on the Corner of the Eyre Highway and Caroona Rd in the car park of the Hotel on the corner. This is all just over the second bridge travelling west as you leave Port Augusta and is more or less the last major intersection and businesses before you leave P.A.
Directly opposite the meeting point is a Service Station for last minute Fuel or this is another servo, Shell, just up the road a bit on the opposite of the road also. Across the road is a small shopping centre/plaza thing that appears to have a supermarket, again for last minute supplies and forgotten items. A Fruit and Vegies shop is on the other side of the Hotel but remember you have to eat it all before we get to the border.
Closer to the date I will provide a time we will be leaving based upon the final decisions about where we are staying and who is coming along or staying with friends in P.A. etc.
